2015 Best Produced Album Of The Year – Add-2’s “Prey For The Poor”

2015 Best Produced Album Of The Year – Add-2’s “Prey For The Poor”

We would like to congratulate Jamla and Add-2 for releasing a super high quality product – and the album which has our vote for most skillfully composed project of the year! This was chosen out of dozens of albums we’ve listened to through the year.

It is also, what we feel will be one of the most overlooked albums of the year.

Hailing production from Khrysis, 9th Wonder, AMP, Nottz and more!

His emceeing/lyricicism contain this calming, authentic tonality to them that helps you enter this ethereal other-world atmosphere. This is assisted of course through the beautiful background drops. “Say Goodbye” is one track which touches on relationships that I believe everyone can relate to. Inspiring.

Standouts: (both for production quality & overall MCing) – Stop Play Rewind (Khrysis), BRB (Khyrsis), Kool Aid (9th Wonder), Say Goodbye (Khrysis) The Niggalude (AMP) , When You’re Ready (Kash), Good Mourning Black America (FC The Truth), We Gon Make It (Khrysis)

Listen to this beautifulness below. We highly highly recommend it. Some tracks you won’t like (a given for any long album). But that’s okay, because it’ll be worth digging through for the records you absolutely love. I.E “Good Mourning Black America” (a track I would kill to see performed live by a symphony orchestra)

Peace and love.
