King Philip Introduces “Worth The Weight” Wednesdays with “The Love”

It’ll definitely be Worth The “Weight”.

You can already tell by the quality of his first promo single.

He does it all. King Philip does the art. He does the production. And of course: he does the rapping.

ProU is proud to do the exclusive announcement of King Philip’s “Worth The Weight” Wednesdays series! In anticipation of his upcoming “Vision of Gold” album, he will be dropping four promo singles: one each week. This first week he brings a fittingly-timed love song with Valentine’s Day around the corner: it’s a self-produced track featuring a beautiful sample.

This is definitely a track you will have on repeat. I dare you not to press repeat. The simple chorus is JUST right – to make the listener anticipate the next verse. This is also an anthem for everyone who has a vision. You can relate to this. I love his metaphors in general & humble lines such as “”Tryin to get the brand new Cadillac keys I can throw my pops”.

I believe this is the most important message he has to share and the one that hit me the most.

“And I only do it for the people who afraid to care.”

The imagery about sold out stadiums and cell phones in the air is also my favorite part. Everyone has had the dream. Who has the dedication to actually reach it though? That’s the question. Either way it’s going to be a fun journey chasing it.

Stay tuned – the new album will feature fellow Scholar Camaraderie group-mates Latrell James and Q-Major: It will also have ProU member Tim Nihan and many more super-talented familiar names from the bubbling Boston hip hop scene!

Big names to be announced.

Random fact: he also did the mixing. Also makes t-shirts. And about 34934 other things. A Killa with a vision.
