[Artist Spotlight] Brooklyn Rapper “Dillon Cooper”

Dillon Cooper has been buzzing hard recently among hip-hop heads.

While most people would say they love his most popular song “State of Elevation” (which caused him to blow up recently..), after further listening and surfing, personally, I’m a huge fan of the song titled “Kung Foo”. Both of these songs are off of his last tape titled “Cozmik“. After the first listen I instantly knew that he brings back that gritty raw 90’s NYC hip hop feel, alongside great delivery, lyricism, clever and unique flow, and professional cinematography with his videos.

His talent is clearly shown by his past, with further research, I discovered that he was a freshman at Berklee College of Music in Boston by the age of 17. That’s impressive, and shows that he was ambitious and passionate about music from the start, and began his studies with pursuing it early.

Dillon Cooper is rolling through Cambridge, MA, to share the stage with The Underachievers, as well as Denzel Curry at the Middle East – Downstairs Venue on Wednesday, Apr 02, 2014 7:00 PM. I plan on being there to support him specifically as a well the others, but my respect for Dillon Cooper goes far.

Dillon Cooper was being considered for the XXL Freshman Class 2014. He got my vote 100%. I couldn’t think of a more fit vocalist, and he’s at the perfect stage to blow up, and deserves nothing more to do so in my opinion.

With admiration,
